-What inspired you to start your blog?
I originally went to college to study photography, but then switched it because I didn’t know what I wanted to do during that time. Being away from a creative atmosphere for the first time in my life was hard for me. I craved a creative outlet so I combined my love for photography and fashion and created my blog!
-What’s your biggest tip for someone who wants to get into fashion industry?
This sounds really cliche, but to just be yourself and make sure you like your own content. Don’t try to be like everyone else in the industry, just be your authentic self and you’ll most likely attract other people with similar taste.
-How would you describe your own personal style?
I have a very free spirited personality and I think this carries over to my personal style. I like free, flowy clothing that is comfortable but yet chic. I’m definitely a boho girl but I also like to experiment with different styles.
-What are some of your current fashion obsessions?
I love anything that is distressed or faded. Oversized clothing like caftan’s and baggy t-shirts have also been filling up my closet.
-What is one thing that people would be surprised to hear?
I’m obsessed with archaeology, fossils and dinosaurs. If I had to study something again in college it would be archaeology or paleontology. I can definitely see myself being like Indiana Jones in action (kidding).
-Is there someone out there who inspires you fashion-wise?
I love the Olsen twins, I think they always look so effortless but put together. Their style is so unique compared to most celebrities. I admire that fashion is considered more of an art form to them rather than just trying looking good.
-What is your favorite product from UsTrendy?
Anything white and flowy always captures my eye!
-What trend do you hope stays around forever or makes a comeback?
Hats! Especially wide-brim and panama style hats. They’re the perfect accessory that can instantly pull an outfit together.
-Where do you like to travel?
Honestly I will travel anywhere. I do live in New York State so during the winter time I prefer somewhere warm. I have never been out West so someday I would love to road-trip it to the Grand Canyon and California.
-What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
Chapstick! I’m addicted. I need to have it on me constantly.
-Did you go to school for fashion or it’s just a hobby that you got into?
I did attend FIT in Manhattan for a little while but I studied photography not fashion. I’ve always loved fashion since I was young so it’s just apart of me. I’m the kind of person who needs to be able to express myself through clothing or I don’t feel comfortable.
